2022 Season

Welcome to OPD’s 10th season. Indeed, it was on February 2, 2013 that OPD took delivery of its two dragon boats and started its first season. Tempus fugit! Seems like a distant memory but for many of us, it was just like yesterday. Similar to all dragon boat teams, we have gone through ebbs and flows but we have stayed afloat. A HUGE THANK-YOU to all the volunteers over the years.

One of the big waves continues to be the pandemic but we believe the wind is now blowing in the right direction. As more and more people are vaccinated, we feel safe to open the 2022 season on Saturday, February 19, 2022. However, we will continue to monitor the situation, take precautionary measures, follow CDC and state and local health care directives, and adjust our practice schedules as needed throughout the season.
