In Memoriam – Siu Ma
Siu’s three-year battle with cancer showcased incredible bravery; she never let the illness affect her spirit or her passion for life. Her dedication to dragon boating remained steadfast throughout her treatment, leading to continued paddling, racing, and even a gold medal win at the Portland competition in September 2025. Her unwavering strength, dedication, and deep love for the sport were truly inspiring, demonstrating to everyone how to navigate life’s toughest challenges with remarkable grace and resilience.
Siu was one of OPD’s founding members and has remained faithful to the team since inception. We will all miss you, Siu. To celebrate her life, OPD will be holding a Paddle & Petals event at the marina.

- 9:00 -10:30 AM – Regular OPD practice
- 10:30 AM – Pick up guests at the guest dock
- 10:45 AM – 11:15 AM – Scatter flowers
- 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM – Lunch at the Marina
- 2:00 PM – Clean-up
